Helminthix exists to accelerate drug discovery for parasitic worm diseases that disproportionately affect underserved communities, livestock systems and regions where research capacity and commercial incentives have historically been limited.

We work at the intersection of parasitology, AI-enabled drug discovery, functional genomics, screening platforms, translational development and global-health partnership. That position carries responsibility: to scientific collaborators, funders, affected communities, public-health systems, livestock owners and the people whose lives are shaped by neglected tropical diseases.

Our environmental, social and governance approach reflects a simple commitment: helminth drug discovery should be scientifically rigorous, socially useful, fair in its partnerships, and alert to power and resource imbalances.

Fair and non-exploitative engagement

Helminthix is committed to being fair, reasonable and non-exploitative in all dealings with people and communities affected by disease, poverty, age, geography or unequal access to resources.

This includes particular care when work may involve sick people, poor people, children, people in developing countries, research participants, carers, livestock-dependent communities, or partners operating from a position of lower institutional or financial power.

We believe collaborations should strengthen trust, share value appropriately, respect local expertise, and avoid extracting data, samples, labour, visibility or credibility from communities without fair recognition, governance and benefit.

Social impact

Our work is grounded in neglected tropical disease equity. Helminth infections can contribute to anaemia, malnutrition, impaired growth, reduced school attendance, disability, pregnancy risk, livestock losses and lower lifetime productivity. These burdens fall disproportionately on communities with the least market power.

Helminthix aims to help create better medicines by connecting scientific capability with public-health need, including researchers, assay teams and implementation partners in endemic regions.

Responsible science

Helminthix supports rigorous, collaborative and transparent discovery practices: shared assay standards, credible validation, resistance-aware development, responsible interpretation of data, and careful use of AI-enabled drug discovery methods.

We aim to reduce fragmentation across helminth drug discovery by helping partners move from functional genomics and target nomination to real assays, small molecules, translational handoff and access-aware development pathways.

Access and affordability

Drug-discovery programmes for neglected diseases should be designed with access, affordability, local relevance and long-term deployment in mind from the beginning.

We support partnership models that consider downstream access, resistance stewardship, public-health fit, livestock-health needs and the realities of healthcare systems in endemic settings.

Respect for human rights

Helminthix respects internationally recognised human rights principles and expects collaborators and suppliers to uphold responsible standards in their own work.
